From an early age, a love of music and singing has always been a vital part of Louise Yard's life. She has performed classical music professionally since childhood in concerts, TV appearances, and ceremonies in Quebec and Eastern Canada.

Her ears were trained to Opera at home even before She studied privately and at McGill and Concordia Universities. She was fortunate to meet and study with the wonderful world-renowned Opera singer Huguette Tourangeau and her husband Barry Thompson who was the Managing Director of the Vancouver and Edmonton Opera, who taught her the golden rules of Bel Canto singing.

As she was learning this incredible Bel Canto technique she started to teach and found her niche – singing as well as teaching. She has been performing and teaching singers, actors and public speakers of all ages with this remarkable method for over twenty years. Her studio 'belcantovoicestrudio' is located in Montreal although she also offers vocal guidance through skype.

The five songs on 'Les Chemins de l'Amour' (Ways Of Love) EP were recorded with master accompanist pianist Pierre McLean at Oscar Peterson Hall in Montreal. Louise Yard's vocal performance is beautiful, sincere and elevating.
