Marshall Dane is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, manager, booking agent, producer, and promoter, who has maneuvered every side of the music business successfully and independently. When you match that intelligence with the way he exudes such natural and sexy pop appeal, it's no wonder that upon first meeting you instantly wonder "Where did this guy come from?" Growing up in St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada se the stage for Marshall's musical influences like John Denver and Sting, artists who you can trace in Marshall's lyrical consciousness, honest delivery and craftsmanship. But when he pulls out his djembe or begins whistling in the middle of a song, you see the eclectic, authentic style he brings to the table, reminiscent of Prince or Dave Matthews. Admist a demanding schedule of live shows, Marshall continued to search for the right avenue to record new music. Along came Brian Allen, Producer (Heart, Haywire, Lee Aaron) and former Vice President of Attic Records, who took notice of Marshall at a live show and instantly wanted to work with him. In the studio the duo created a soulful, intense collection of melodic tunes that Marshall called "Weapons of the Future." Fueled by a shiny new record, Marshall found the best players in the city and started to showcase at the major downtown venues, earning wide media coverage and rave reviews. The Marshall Dane seven-piece band was nominated for Best Live Electric in Septemver 2007 at the Toronto Independent Music Awards.
